TL;DR: LinkedIn has no public API for reading or searching its job listings. Its job APIs (Job Posting API, Apply Connect, Apply with LinkedIn, Recruiter System Connect) are partner integrations for ATS platforms and job distributors to post jobs into LinkedIn and handle applications, and LinkedIn's docs say the Job Posting API and Apply with LinkedIn aren't accepting new partners. LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits scraping and bots. Many LinkedIn jobs are ingested from employers' ATS platforms, so the employer-direct version of a posting is often available from the ATS itself.

There is no public LinkedIn API for reading or searching LinkedIn's job listings. LinkedIn's job APIs exist so that ATS platforms and job distributors can post jobs into LinkedIn and receive applications back, they require an approved partnership, and LinkedIn's docs currently say the Job Posting API isn't accepting new partners.

So if you want LinkedIn jobs in your own app, the honest answer is that LinkedIn doesn't offer that. This article covers what LinkedIn's Talent Solutions APIs actually do, what its terms say about scraping, and where the same jobs usually come from. Everything was checked against LinkedIn's developer docs on Microsoft Learn and its User Agreement on November 1, 2026.

## At a Glance

| LinkedIn product | What it does | Access today | Lets you read LinkedIn's job listings? |
|---|---|---|---|

| Apply Connect | ATS integration: post jobs with onsite apply, receive applications in the ATS | Talent Solutions partners | No |
| Apply with LinkedIn | Career-site plugin that prefills applications from a LinkedIn profile | "Currently not accepting any new partners" | No |
| Recruiter System Connect | Syncs candidate data between an ATS and LinkedIn Recruiter | Talent Solutions partners | No |
| CRM Connect | Syncs candidates between a recruiting CRM and LinkedIn Recruiter | Talent Solutions partners | No |

Every row moves data into LinkedIn or between LinkedIn and a hiring system. None returns a search over LinkedIn's jobs.

## LinkedIn's Job APIs, in Detail

### Job Posting API

LinkedIn describes the [Job Posting API](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/linkedin/talent/job-postings/api/overview) as letting "authorized third parties such as clients, ATS systems, and job distributors to post jobs directly to LinkedIn on behalf of customers." It supports basic jobs (free listings with limited promotion) and promoted jobs (paid Job Slots).

The page opens with: "We are currently not accepting new partnerships for LinkedIn's Job Posting API." Use is "restricted to those developers approved by LinkedIn", partners sign an API agreement with data restrictions, and non-partners are sent to the Talent Solutions Partner Request Form.

### Apply Connect

[Apply Connect](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/linkedin/talent/apply-connect/apply-connect-overview) is an ATS integration that lets LinkedIn members apply without leaving LinkedIn, with applications delivered straight into the ATS. As a partner you post jobs on behalf of customers, receive applications, send status updates back, and complete a certification. Customers need a LinkedIn Recruiter Corporate or Recruiter Professional Services license to see real-time LinkedIn data in the ATS.

### Apply with LinkedIn

[Apply with LinkedIn](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/linkedin/talent/apply-with-linkedin/apply-with-linkedin) puts a button on an employer's career site that fills in application fields from the candidate's profile. LinkedIn's docs say it is "currently not accepting any new partners" while it works on a new version.

### Recruiter System Connect and CRM Connect

These sync candidate and activity data between LinkedIn Recruiter and an ATS or recruiting CRM. They're for recruiting software vendors, not for job data.

## Why There's No Read API

LinkedIn moved most of its APIs behind partner programs in 2015, and its jobs products followed the same pattern: they're built for companies that bring jobs and applicants to LinkedIn. A public search API would do the reverse and send LinkedIn's job inventory, and the members looking at it, to other sites.

You'll also see "LinkedIn Jobs API" products on API marketplaces and dataset sites. Those are third parties collecting LinkedIn's public pages, not LinkedIn products, and LinkedIn doesn't document any licensing program for them. If you use one, you inherit its compliance and reliability risk.

## Scraping and LinkedIn's Terms

LinkedIn's [User Agreement](https://www.linkedin.com/legal/user-agreement), section 8.2, lists what members agree not to do. It includes developing or using "software, devices, scripts, robots or any other means or processes (such as crawlers, browser plugins and add-ons or any other technology) to scrape or copy the Services, including profiles and other data from the Services", using "bots or other unauthorized automated methods to access the Services", and copying or distributing information obtained from the Services.

We're not lawyers, and how those terms apply depends on your situation. What isn't in doubt is the engineering side: LinkedIn actively limits automated access, so a scraper is a pipeline that can break or get blocked at any time. That's a weak foundation for a product.

## Where LinkedIn's Jobs Come From

A large share of LinkedIn's listings didn't start on LinkedIn. LinkedIn's own Talent Solutions overview says "Jobs that are already created externally on ATS, company site, or job board can be automatically ingested by LinkedIn." Its [third-party listing guidelines](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/linkedin/talent/job-postings/xml-feeds-job-posting-guidelines) describe Basic Jobs ingested "from third-party sources such as applicant tracking systems (ATSs) and job boards", and require that the title, company, location and description match the source listing exactly.

The same guidelines note that since August 2024, some of those third-party jobs may no longer be visible on LinkedIn. So the employer's ATS board is usually the original, and it's sometimes more complete than what LinkedIn shows.

That gives you a practical route: instead of LinkedIn's copy, read the employer's own posting. You can do that one company at a time with public ATS endpoints (see the [ATS job postings API list](https://cleanjobdata.com/articles/ats-public-job-postings-api-list)) or across many employers with an aggregated API.

## What CleanJobData Offers Instead

To be plain: CleanJobData has no LinkedIn data, and it doesn't scrape LinkedIn, Indeed or Glassdoor. It collects jobs from employer ATS platforms and company career sites and returns them in one normalized schema. Many employers that post on LinkedIn also publish the same role on their own ATS, so the employer-direct version is often in CleanJobData. Employers that post only on LinkedIn won't be.

What you get per job: the title, full description, structured `locations`, `salary_min` and `salary_max` where the employer published pay, `experience_level`, `remote_type`, `employment_type` and the employer's own `application_url`. The `company` object can include a `linkedin_url` for the employer's page when we have it. That's a link, not LinkedIn data.

To check one employer's open roles, scope by their website domain:

```bash
curl "https://api.cleanjobdata.com/jobs?company_website_url=stripe.com&limit=50" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $CLEANJOBDATA_API_KEY"
```

Or search across employers with filters LinkedIn's UI has but its APIs don't expose to you:

```python
import os
import requests
res = requests.get(
    "https://api.cleanjobdata.com/jobs",
    headers={"Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['CLEANJOBDATA_API_KEY']}"},
    params={
        "title": "product designer",
        "remote": "true",
        "experience_level": "SE,EX",
        "max_age": "7d",
    },
    timeout=30,
)
res.raise_for_status()
for job in res.json()["data"]:
    print(job["title"], "|", (job.get("company") or {}).get("name"), "|", job["application_url"])
```

The free [Trial](https://cleanjobdata.com/signup) gives 300 requests a day for 14 days, so you can check coverage for the companies and markets you care about before committing. On the Trial, `application_url` redirects through cleanjobdata.com; paid plans return the direct employer URL. See [pricing](https://cleanjobdata.com/pricing).

## FAQ

### Does LinkedIn have a public jobs API?

No. LinkedIn's job APIs are partner integrations for posting jobs and handling applications, and none lets you search or read LinkedIn's job listings. LinkedIn's docs also say the Job Posting API isn't accepting new partnerships.

### How do I get access to the LinkedIn Job Posting API?

You'd need to be an approved LinkedIn Talent Solutions partner, typically an ATS or job distributor, and sign an API agreement. LinkedIn's docs currently say it isn't accepting new Job Posting API partnerships and point applicants to Apply Connect instead.

### Is it legal to scrape LinkedIn jobs?

LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits using scrapers, crawlers and bots to access or copy the service. Whether that creates legal exposure for you is a question for a lawyer, but it does mean any scraper runs against LinkedIn's terms and its blocking.

### Can I get LinkedIn job data through CleanJobData?

No. CleanJobData has no LinkedIn data. It sources jobs directly from employer ATS platforms and career sites, which is often where LinkedIn's own copy of a job came from.

### What's the best alternative to a LinkedIn jobs API?

Go to the source employers use: their ATS. For a single company, read its public ATS board; for many companies with filters, use an ATS-sourced API like CleanJobData. [Best Job APIs in 2026](https://cleanjobdata.com/articles/best-job-apis-2026) compares the other categories.
