Best Job APIs in 2026: Compared by Source, Price and Terms

CleanJobData Engineering

TL;DR

There are four kinds of job API: ATS-sourced data (CleanJobData, Fantastic.jobs), Google Jobs scrapers (SerpApi, JSearch), job-board aggregators (Adzuna, Jooble, Careerjet), and bulk datasets (Coresignal, TheirStack, Techmap). Pick by source first, price second. Indeed's and LinkedIn's APIs are partner-gated and built for posting jobs, not searching them, so they aren't options for most developers. Prices and limits below were checked against official pages in October 2026 and will change; anything we couldn't confirm is marked as such.

"Job API" covers at least four different products. They return similar-looking JSON, but they differ in where the listings come from, what you're allowed to do with them, and how the price scales. This page sorts the options by those differences. We make CleanJobData, so we say where it fits and where it doesn't.

Prices and limits were checked against each provider's official pages in October 2026. They change often, so confirm before you commit. Where we couldn't verify a figure, we say so rather than guess.

CleanJobData

CleanJobData serves normalized jobs from ATS platforms and company career sites through one REST API. Every job comes back in one schema, with structured locations (city, state and country IDs), numeric salary ranges where the employer disclosed one, an experience level, and a stable employer_id. Pagination is cursor-based, and created_max_age lets you pull only what was added since your last sync. See the Jobs API reference.

  • Plans: Trial is free. Starter is $97/mo for 50,000 requests at up to 50 jobs per response. Pro is $297/mo for 200,000 requests at up to 100 jobs per response. Enterprise adds unlimited requests and daily data dumps.
  • Trial: 300 requests per day (it resets daily, it isn't a monthly pool), up to 20 jobs per response, no card. On the Trial, the apply link redirects through cleanjobdata.com. The direct employer URL comes with a paid plan.
  • Storage: the Trial can sync data into your own database while you develop your product, within its daily quota. Solo MCP, Starter and Pro let you sync the data into your own database to power your own product, including a public job board, and to train internal, non-public models. Passing the records on to others (through your own API, feed or bulk export), reselling them, or training publicly offered AI models needs an Enterprise licence. Read the terms for exact wording.
  • Best for: job boards, niche boards, job alerts, HR tools, and anything that needs filterable, consistent fields.
  • Not for: it isn't a LinkedIn or Indeed mirror. Jobs come from employers' own ATS boards and career sites, so listings that exist only on those job boards won't be there.

Fantastic.jobs

Fantastic.jobs is the closest like-for-like competitor. Its site says it covers 200,000+ career sites across 58 ATS platforms plus job boards, and that every ATS is polled hourly. Starter is $95/mo for 20,000 jobs and 10,000 API requests, with larger tiers up to $900/mo for 500,000 jobs. Its pricing is by job volume, which suits a bulk sync. We couldn't open its terms page, so check what it permits before storing or redistributing data.

Best for: teams that want the widest ATS-plus-boards coverage and are happy to pay per job.

SerpApi (Google Jobs)

SerpApi returns Google Jobs search results as structured JSON. Plans run from a free tier with 250 searches/mo, through $25/mo for 1,000 searches, to $275/mo for 30,000 and $725/mo for 100,000. Each page returns 10 results and pagination uses a next_page_token. Results are cached for an hour. Location comes back as a string.

Best for: showing what Google shows for a query. Watch out for: per-search pricing makes a full sync expensive, and you inherit Google's layout and coverage.

JSearch

JSearch (from OpenWeb Ninja, and also distributed through RapidAPI) also builds on Google for Jobs. We could not verify its current plans or free tier from an official page, so we don't quote numbers. Check its page for current pricing and limits. See our CleanJobData vs JSearch comparison.

Adzuna

Adzuna is an aggregator with a developer API. Its published default limits are 25 hits per minute, 250 per day, 1,000 per week and 2,500 per month. Its terms treat commercial use as a 14-day trial for validating data quality, and then a licence agreement may be required. They also require an Adzuna attribution label and ask you to remove the data if the agreement ends. Descriptions are snippets, not full text. See how to integrate Adzuna and CleanJobData vs Adzuna.

Best for: prototypes, market research, and display-only widgets with attribution.

Jooble and Careerjet

Both are aggregators that issue keys on request, intended for sites that display listings.

  • Jooble: you request a key through a form on jooble.org/api/about. We couldn't verify its rate limits from official pages. See vs Jooble.
  • Careerjet: it uses Basic auth with a publisher key, and requires user_ip and user_agent on every request. We couldn't find published limits or storage terms. See vs Careerjet.

Coresignal

Coresignal is a bulk data provider with credit-based plans: Mini at $49/mo for 2,500 credits, Starter at $199/mo for 12,000, Pro at $499/mo for 35,000, and larger tiers up to $1,500/mo for 1M. A job record costs one credit, and there's a 7-day free trial. It's built for analytics and data products. If you want a search box over live listings, a request-based API is simpler.

TheirStack

TheirStack sells job data with a strong company and technology angle (its fields include technology tags). API plans start at $49/mo for 1,500 credits, up to $5,500/mo for 5M credits, with one-time credit packs too. One credit is charged per job returned, the rate limit is 4 requests per second, and search requires at least one date or company filter. Best for: lead generation and market intelligence.

Techmap

Techmap sells country-level datasets at €333/mo per country (daily JSON) and a job data API metered through RapidAPI from about €0.002 per record. It claims 1,800+ sources across 140+ countries. Best for: country-wide datasets.

Apify Actors

Apify hosts community-built scrapers for LinkedIn and Indeed jobs. They're cheap per result (a few dollars or less per thousand results), but each actor has a different owner and schema, and scraping those sites carries terms-of-service and legal risk. Treat them as a stopgap, not a foundation.

What You Can't Use (Despite the Name)

  • Indeed: the current Job Sync API is a partner-gated GraphQL API for ATS vendors to create and manage postings on Indeed. It isn't a way to search Indeed's listings.
  • LinkedIn: the Job Posting API is for authorized ATS and job-distribution partners, and LinkedIn's documentation says it is not accepting new partnerships. There is no public API for retrieving listings.
  • Google Cloud Talent Solution: still available, but it's a search and matching service for jobs you already have, not a feed of third-party listings.
  • Proxycurl: shut down in 2025, so remove it from any shortlist.

How to Pick

  1. Need listings from employers' own career pages, with clean structured fields? An ATS-sourced API: CleanJobData or Fantastic.jobs.
  2. Need to mirror what Google shows for a query? SerpApi or JSearch.
  3. Prototyping or displaying listings with attribution? Adzuna or a free source from our free job APIs list.
  4. Analytics across millions of records? Coresignal, TheirStack or Techmap.
  5. Storing the data in your own database? Read each provider's terms first, because they differ more than the prices do. On CleanJobData, paid plans allow syncing into your own database for your own product, while redistribution needs Enterprise. Adzuna, by contrast, asks you to remove acquired data if your agreement ends, and USAJobs bars reselling it as a standalone feed.
